Costner revealed that now that he spends more time at home, he knows when his children are working him and how to handle their requests. Speaking of his relationship with Christine, he said:
“Our partnership has really come into focus about what we do for each other and how we deal with our family.”
He added that the flow in their house was like that of a river, and one just had to get along with the flow, and this has helped strengthen the relationship he has with the kids and Christine.

Aside from being home, Costner stated that he also handles making breakfast for the family and this was something he enjoyed doing.
Things between the couple did not go smoothly at first.
As for the homeschooling, he mentioned that he was not computer literate, and his wife was the one in charge of handling all homeschooling duties. This was something he was grateful for because he was sure he would flop when it came to handling such.
For Costner, this period of being home has helped him realise he had “normal kids” and the relationship he had with Christine was not something he took for granted.

Costner’s marriage to Christine is his second marriage and third relationship. He got married to his first wife Cindy Silva, back in 1975, and the two have three kids together. Although the marriage between Costner and Cindy ended in 1994, the two try to remain the best co-parents.
Following his divorce from Cindy Silva, Costner dated Bridget Rooney, and in 1996, they welcomed a son together named Liam Timothy.
His relationship with Bridget did not last long, and in 2000, he began dating Christine Baumgartner, a model-turned-handbag-designer. Things between the couple did not go smoothly at first, and they broke up, but in 2004, they got married.

Although the age gaps between his kids are wide, Costner has revealed that his kids are the most important thing to him and he tries to relate with them at their levels.
