HIS UPCOMING SHOW
Talking about his upcoming show, "Top Gun: Maverick," he said that they approached him to come down for a funeral scene for one of the "Top Gun" folks.
However, he added, they did not impart the script to anyone, so no one comprehends what the story will be. "So I'm curious!" he continued. "I had one good day with Tom [Cruise] and that was about it."
When asked about his favorite role, he said that playing the reverend on "A River Runs Through It" moves him the most.
During the interview, Skerritt also opened up about his current wife, Tokashiki. According to him, Tokashiki was an executive at Fox and that they initially met while he was doing his series "Picket Fences" there.
Skerritt described his wife as "strong," "lovable," and a "great piece of art." He said that he looks at her with a great deal of respect.
The actor also said that he does not know what "retire" means, adding that "your life changes, and you try to fill it up as much as you possibly can."
