Cookie Johnson makes jaws drop in a gorgeous floral dress as she wishes her sister-in-law, Pearl, a happy birthday in a new Instagram post.

NBA Star Magic Johnson’s wife, Cookie, took to her Instagram to celebrate her sister-in-law’s birthday with a lovely post. The image accompanying the post featured the mother-of-two in a sleeveless floral midi dress that accentuated her curves as she stood behind Pearl.

The celebrant, on the other hand, wore a green and pink African print dress with a matching pink sweater. In her caption, Cookie leaves some sweet words for her husband’s sister describing her as "my sister and closest friend."

Despite being together for almost three decades, Magic and Cookie have had their fair share of troubles as it was a few weeks after their wedding that the basketball Hall Of Famer discovered he was HIV positive.

Having been with her husband for more than 28 years, it’s no surprise that Cookie has a cordial relationship with his siblings. According to Essence, the couple met during their freshman year of college in 1977 when Magic received a lot of attention from women.

The outlet reports that for their 28th anniversary, the former Lakers star shared a charming message on Instagram, recalling how he knew she would be his wife alongside throwback photos of them.

On her part, Cookie reportedly filled her page with a series of then and now photos, including beautiful snaps from their wedding that showed them excited to be married. In one of the captions, she described him as “the ultimate romantic.”

In a previous interview recalled by the outlet, he attributed his survival during the period to his wife’s unwavering love. USA Today Sports notes that the 61-year-old documented her experience at the time in a book titled, “Believing In Magic,” released in 2016. Describing the moment, she found out, Cookie said:

"It was the scariest thing I had ever faced. It was like your whole world just crashes right in front of you."

She hopes that her story will help couples understand how to navigate a difficult start in their marriage. Together, the pair have two kids, one of whom is openly gay.

In a chat with HuffPost, the proud mom talking about her son, Earvin III, popularly known as EJ, coming out and admitted that she saw the signs before he announced his sexuality.
