"Dressing up my hubby @imdeanmcdermott as Deana Martin for @thejackmonty Pride Pool Party ? was so fun!" Spelling captioned a slideshow of images of their fun day next to the pool.
Spelling and McDermott reunited with his son Jack for the first time in months due to being quarantine, and having their LGBTQ+ member of the family beside them made the Pride Pool Party extra special.
For the occasion, Spelling dressed up her husband like her character in "Beverly Hills: 90210," Donna Martin, and she recreated the look complete from choker necklace to ankle boots for glamour.
When Spelling finished dressing up her husband, he dazzled in a long blond wig, a slinky black dress with sunflowers on the bust - strategically placed, with a pair of black ankle boot, and a matching choker necklace that resembled one of Donna's favourite accessories.
McDermott also got his makeup done with courtesy of Spelling, who showed off her skills in a video she filmed of the transformation from Dean to Donna. Proud of her handiwork, Spelling revealed that the idea also fulfils a lifelong dream of McDermott's son, as she said:
“Jack’s dream is to see his dad in drag, so we are making this happen today.”
So as soon as Jack arrived, the family excitedly surprised him with a candy-filled buffet, warm greetings from his younger siblings, a variety of bubbly to choose from, a few dancers to go with the beat from the DJ, and then, of course, his dad who made his dream come true.
While McDermott found himself married to Jack's mom Mary Jo Eustace, Spelling had been married to her first husband, Charlie Shanian. Spelling and McDermott than met on the set of "Mind Over Murder" back in 2005, and less than a year later, they eloped in beautiful Fiji.
The family also recently had other cause for celebration, as Tori Spelling turned 47 in May, and she got to spend it with her husband and five kids.
Feeling grateful to be blessed with children and a husband she loves dearly, the actress can't wait for whatever adventures await them next.
