See Naya Rivera's Touching Last Post with Son Josey a Day before She Was Reported Missing

“Glee” star Naya Rivera is feared to have drowned after she went missing on Wednesday, the day after she celebrated it being “just the two” of them with her young son Josey.

On Wednesday afternoon, tragedy unfolded when an employee from the rental company went to check on a motorized pontoon boat Rivera had rented. The boat’s return was overdue, and its discovery only raised more questions over peculiar findings.

THE LAST MESSAGE TO HER SON

However, just the previous day, Rivera celebrated the bond with her 4-year-old son, Josey, with a close-up picture of them together and a few hard-hitting words as she wrote, “Just the two of us.”

The mother-and-son duo went out on Lake Piru in the rented pontoon boat on Wednesday afternoon, and the rental employee came across an unexpected scene when he boarded.

WHAT HE FOUND

Josey, still wearing his lifejacket, was sound asleep inside while authorities also found a second lifejacket, believed to have been Rivera’s. Her personal belongings were right where she had left them, but there was no sign of her.

“It is believed that Naya and her son were swimming in the lake near the boat and as they were getting back into the boat, her son made it into the boat and Naya went underwater and did not resurface,” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reportedly told Us Weekly in a statement.

THE SEARCH CONTINUES

Search teams deployed in search of Rivera until “darkness” forced them to terminate until the following morning. “Additional divers and sonar equipment” joined the array of ATV vehicles, boats, and helicopters in search of the actress on Thursday, but to no avail. The objective now changed from it being a rescue to recovery.

Rivera, who got her first big break in acting in the sitcom “The Royal Family,” shares young Josey with her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey.

The couple tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in July 2014. The following September, they welcomed Josey to the world. They divorced in June 2018.

PRAYER SERVICE

On Wednesday evening, Naya Rivera's family reportedly came together to pray for her safe return. And not knowing what happened to her daughter has Rivera's mother feeling "frightened and concerned."

Josey is physically unharmed and "in good health" and currently with his father, who has joint custody over him with Rivera.
