On Wednesday, Deadline shared a report detailing the considerable accomplishment of the porpular adventurous and comedy movie. It was directed by Jake Kasdan with the combined efforts of Columbia Pictures, Seven Bucks, Matt Tolmach Productions, and Sony.

"Jumanji: The Next Level" began its international viewing in about 18 foreign markets last December before it was released in America and other countries the following weekend.

According to the outlet, the sequel was No. 1 in 44 countries outside America and the top 10 in others. The movie was, however, No. 10 on Deadline’s 2019 Most Valuable Blockbuster Tournament.

Forbes shares that although this is a remarkable achievement, it pales in comparison to its prequel, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," which earned over $1 billion worldwide between late 2017 and early 2018.

The movie is also reportedly Sony’s largest domestic grosser and their third-biggest earner worldwide behind only "Skyfall" and "Spider-Man: Far from Home." The 2019 movie, however, seats at ninth-biggest grosser globally for the production company. .

Its main cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, and Madison Iseman, who reprise their roles in the 2017 prequel, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle."

Daily Mail reports that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson also celebrated the milestone on his Instagram with the same snapshot on his co-actor's page. Like Kevin, he thanked the entire team that contributed to the film's success.

In another article, Deadline shares that "Jumanji: The Next Level" is also one of the movies that will be aired on Sky across the UK, Ireland, and some European countries.

This is so because of the partnership renewal between the Comcast-owned pay-TV operator and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
