August Alsina Opens up about His Affair with Jada Pinkett Smith in a Candid Interview

August Alsina recently described his involvement with Jada Pinket-Smith as a complex and difficult one while also admitting that it was truly an entanglement.

Singer August Alsina has opened up about the type of relationship he had with actress Jada Pinkett-Smith whom he was involved with a few years ago.

In an interview with Vulture, Alsina revealed that he did not understand why the internet went crazy over Pinkett-Smith's description of their relationship as an entanglement.

According to him, the word entanglement is indeed best suited to describe the dynamic of the relationship he had with Pinkett-Smith.

He explained that entanglement means a complex and difficult relationship and Alsina confirmed that their relationship had been like that. He added:

"I think it's just the language that probably stuck out to people. But I definitely have to agree with it being an entanglement."

Alsina also revealed the reason he decided to speak out about his involvement with Pinkett-Smith during his June 30 interview with Angela Yee.

The singer explained that although he never thinks it is important for people to know who he dates, he had to speak about it because it was starting to affect him in several ways.

Amid the buzz happening all over the internet over Alsina's relationship with Pinkett-Smith, it appears the singer is making the most of the situation.

He continued and stated that people had started viewing him in a negative light and he did not like how that sounded — considering that it wasn't the complete truth.

Alsina explained that the rumors about him had affected his partnerships as well as his business relationship because people saw him as a reckless guy for getting involved with a married woman. Alsina added:

"That's really the only reason I felt the need to speak my truth."

When asked if he wished he cleared the air sooner, August said no while stating that he might not have had the right words to speak about the situation.

He added that he was always careful to never speak from a place of hurt, anger, or malice. Alsina also stated that despite everything that had happened, he had love and respect for the Smith family.

Amid the buzz happening all over the internet over Alsina's relationship with Pinkett-Smith, it appears the singer is making the most of the situation.

Over the weekend, Alsina dropped a new single titled "Entanglements" in reference to his relationship with the actress.

Although there are so many controversies surrounding his career and his person, Alsina is definitely maximizing every opportunity and it seems his latest track is only the beginning.
