A STRIKING FAMILY RESEMBLANCE

Ahead of the special day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a new image of Prince George, and the third-in-line to the throne looks more like his father by the day. Netizens didn't miss the resemblance, as sweet birthday messages soon followed.

"He looks like his father for sure. Happy birthday Prince George," one follower wrote while another chimed in:

ADORABLE IN A NEW IMAGE

The picture Prince George's royal parents posted, showed the young prince neatly dressed in a brown polo shirt and denim pants as she smiled broadly for the camera.

The picture taken by amateur photographer Kate Middleton is just the latest in a few new shots she shared with followers in recent months.

OUT OF THE PUBLIC EYE

With social distancing regulations in place, royal followers last saw the young prince in public when he attended the Christmas Day church service with his parents and Queen Elizabeth II in Sandringham.

But since then, mom Kate proudly shared footage of her kids as they supported NHS workers amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, and playing together.

HE'S ALREADY WELL TRAVELED

Prince George might only be seven years old, but he already accompanied his parents on three royal visits outside the UK. At only eight months old in April 2014, he went with Prince William and Kate on their tour of New Zealand and Australia.

In 2016, he saw Germany and Canada for the first time, followed by the visit to Poland in 2017 - the same year he started attending Thomas's School in Battersea after finishing his nursery school days in Norfolk at the Westacre Montessori school.

GRUMPY TODDLER TIMES

An avid gardener, Kate Middleton's kids, love to spend time with her in the outdoors and growing their own plants as well, but it also recently brought out their competitive spirit.

As it turns out, Prince George doesn't like to come in second, as mom Kate shared that he got "a little grumpy" when little Prince Louis's sunflowers grew better than his.
