Remembering Alaina Housley — Tamera Mowry Honors Late Niece on What Would Have Been Her 20th B-Day

Tamera Mowry Housley took to Instagram where she penned a heartwarming note to her late niece, Alaina Housley who would have turned 20 on July 27th.

Tamera Mowry-Housley recently paid tribute to her late niece, Alaina Housley. Taking to Instagram, Tamera shared a throwback photo that featured her then four-year-old son, Aden posing alongside Alaina.

In her caption, Tamera stated that she sees glimpses of Alaina in Aden. Tamera also noted that she thinks of Alaina every day. In conclusion, she wrote,

"You were such an angel on this earth, and now you are one in heaven. I miss you. Happy heavenly 20th birthday Lai Lai."

Tamera's husband, Adam Housley, also paid a sweet tribute to his niece in an Instagram post which featured a black and white photo of Alaina and Aden.

In his caption, Adam wished Alaina a happy birthday while expressing how much he misses her every day. Last November, Tamera reflected on Alaina's death and according to her, it is important to understand that life is short and should not be taken for granted.

Six months after the tragic incident, Tamera revealed that she was struggling to come to terms with Alaina's death.

Tamera also stated that losing Alaina helped her learn the important lesson of life: to live every day to the fullest and show love to those who matter.

On November 7, 2018, 12 people, including Alaina, were killed after a 28-year-old former Marine officer, Ian David Long opened fire on the crowd who were at a country music concert in Thousand Oaks.

After confirming that Alaina had been a victim of the incident, Tamera took to Instagram the next day where she penned a touching tribute to her niece.

In her caption, Tamera stated that she was blessed to have known Alaina and would miss all of the great things that they did together.

Six months after the tragic incident, Tamera revealed that she was struggling to come to terms with Alaina's death. Although Alaina lived for only eighteen years, she clearly left a mark on her loved ones and she will forever live on in their hearts.
