Kathie Lee Gifford's Daughter Cassidy Pays Emotional Tribute to Regis Philbin and Her Dad Frank
Cassidy Gifford, Kathie Lee Gifford's daughter has paid a moving tribute to Regis Philbin and her late father, Frank Gifford with a heartwarming photo on Instagram.
Cassidy Gifford has joined her mother, Kathie Lee Gifford, and many other celebrities to pay tribute to the late television personality and actor, Regis Philbin.

According to Today, the newlywed daughter of Kathie and Frank Gifford, used a sweet picture to honor both her late father and Regis, who paased away on July 24, via Instagram. The picture, which showed Regis and Frank smiling as they held each other on the shoulders, was captioned:
“The laughter I know you two are sharing together again in heaven is palpable... love you forever, Reeg.”

It would be recalled that Kathie and Regis shared a bond that was rivaled by the latter’s relationship with Kathie’s late husband. During a recent appearance on “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna,” Kathie said:
“There weren’t too many men that Frank could relate to on the same level who had accomplished as much in his own industry and was also beloved and iconic and legendary.”
Regis and the 66-year-old’s long-lasting friendship started when they became the hosts of the ABC show, “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee,” in 1988.
When Kathie learned of her friend’s passing, she took to Instagram to give a touching tribute, saying that "every day with him was a gift."
People Magazine noted that even though Kathie exited the show in 2000, the pair’s closeness remained intact. A year after her departure, the show was renamed to “Live! with Regis and Kelly,” as Regis’ new sidekick at the time became Kelly Ripa.
Regis eventually left the show in 2011 after 23 years as an on-air personality. When Kathie learned of her friend’s passing, she took to Instagram to give a touching tribute, saying that "every day with him was a gift."
She recalled their 15 years of their playful friendship and revealed that she takes comfort in the fact that he had a relationship with Jesus and was "in heaven, at this very moment, making someone laugh."
Fox News recounted that the passing of the beloved TV personality was confirmed in a statement put out by his family. In the statement, which was obtained by the news outlet, the family wrote:
“We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved Regis Philbin passed away last night of natural causes, one month shy of his 89th birthday.”

The Philbin family also showed their appreciation to their well-wishers and asked for the public to give them time to deal with their loss privately.
