All that matters to Houston as he established is that his dad and entire family loves and welcomed his fiancée.
The duo first started their relationship in 2018. A year later, Houston went down on his knees to propose to his girlfriend.
When news of their age difference came out, critics were not pleased and they tongue-lashed the couple. The actor later explained his stand.
He mentioned that his friend's daughter is close to Miya and that they all met during a church convention. The couple shares similar faith as Jehovah's Witnesses.
As he established, all that matters to Houston is that his dad and the entire family loves and welcomed his fiancée. He also stated that their love has God's blessings.
When the 38-year-old popped the question, Miya was excited and wasted no time in saying "Yes." She later shared the sweet moment of the proposal online and declared that she could not wait to be a wife.
While the "Sister, Sister" star has an admirable love life, the same can be said about his career path. He moved to music after his feature on the 90's sitcom.
