38-year-old actor Marques Houston has consistently flaunted his affection for his fiancée, Miya. This has even caused some controversy as some people think that she is quite young to be his soul mate.

This has not affected the couple in any way. In fact, they have proceeded with their wedding plans and are set to wed soon.

Houston shared a snap of his 19-year-old fiancée celebrating her bachelorette party. He detailed that it was a surprise party and thanked her friends for showing their support. In the post, he said,

"Surprise, Surprise! My fiancée soon to be wife, hope you're having fun at your surprise Quarantine bridal shower! Thank you @iamchrissy97 and @nynalala for hooking it up so beautifully..."

Their love affair has caused different trolls to backlash their fairytale story. Still, they are not backing down and have fixed a date to seal the deal. The date has, however, not been conveyed yet.

All that matters to Houston as he established is that his dad and entire family loves and welcomed his fiancée.

The duo first started their relationship in 2018. A year later, Houston went down on his knees to propose to his girlfriend.

When news of their age difference came out, critics were not pleased and they tongue-lashed the couple. The actor later explained his stand.

He mentioned that his friend's daughter is close to Miya and that they all met during a church convention. The couple shares similar faith as Jehovah's Witnesses.

As he established, all that matters to Houston is that his dad and the entire family loves and welcomed his fiancée. He also stated that their love has God's blessings.

When the 38-year-old popped the question, Miya was excited and wasted no time in saying "Yes." She later shared the sweet moment of the proposal online and declared that she could not wait to be a wife.

While the "Sister, Sister" star has an admirable love life, the same can be said about his career path. He moved to music after his feature on the 90's sitcom.

Houston first joined a group and later went solo. At the moment, he is working at a movie production company and he is skilled in writing and producing movies.
