How Marc Maron Remembers Late Girlfriend Lynn Shelton Following Her Sudden Death in May
Marc Maron recently reflected on his life and relationship with his late girlfriend, Lynn Shelton, months after her sudden passing.
Following her unfortunate death in May, Lynn Shelton’s boyfriend, Marc Naron, has opened up about their time together. During a conversation with the New York Times, Marc recalled that he and Lynn first crossed paths when she appeared as a guest on his “WTF” podcast in 2015.

According to him, even though they felt a connection between them, they couldn’t enter a romantic relationship as Lynn was married at the time, and he was involved with someone else.
Shortly after Lynn died, [it was] revealed that Marc paid a heartfelt tribute to her during an episode of his podcast.
With that in mind, Lynn and Marc settled for “a creative relationship,” because the latter “wanted to see her again and get to know her.” When they eventually began seeing each other romantically, they couldn’t have been happier.
The “GLOW” star said that although he and Lynn were together for “a year and change,” their affair was “short and sweet.” Marc, who worked alongside his late lover on some projects, admitted that:
“Hearing everybody’s experiences with her, working on all these films, I’m like, what stories do I have? But I realized we had a unique frequency to our connection.”
People noted that the stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, also stated that the novel coronavirus pandemic had given him enough time “to process and sit with the feelings.” While pointing out that he cries every day, Marc said:
“The shock and the trauma have dissipated a little bit, so now I deal with the loss..."
Today recalled that before her death, Lynn Shelton directed the 2019 film, “Swords of Trust” and two of Marc’s Netflix stand-up specials.
The mother-of-one, who died of a previously undisclosed blood disorder, also owned writing and directorial credits on projects such as “New Girl,” “The Morning Show,” “Fresh Off the Boat,” “The Mindy Project,” and “Mad Men.”
Shortly after Lynn died, Variety revealed that Marc paid a heartfelt tribute to her during an episode of his podcast. Through his tribute, the 56-year-old claimed that Lynn was an “amazing woman” who was an “inspiration to some people.” Marc spent the rest of the podcast episode replaying his 2015 conversation with Lynn.
