Bobby Brown Explains Why He's Gained Weight in a New Picture with Look-Alike Son Cassius
Singer and songwriter Bobby Brown showed his fans that he has been having a great time kicking it at home with his family and gaining some weight amid quarantine.
Singer and songwriter Bobby Brown is one of the many people everywhere who have gained some weight since the pandemic began and everyone was forced into lockdown.
Interestingly, Brown is not in the least bit shy about his extra weight. The singer recently posted a picture with his son, Cassius, while showing off his quarantine surprise.

Under the post, the singer commented, “I got the COVID weight.” In the picture, Brown was smiling with his son by his side with some friends and a rod with several fish hanging off it. His caption explained that he and Cassius went fishing with a friend’s family.

With his “COVID weight” comment, many of his fans came out to admit that they too had let go just a little bit and had scored some of that for themselves too.
While it was a bit funny, some concerned fans also advised Brown to work off the weight to stay healthy while reminding him that they loved him very much.
Their first child together, Cassius, was born in 2009, and he reportedly announced it while on stage at a club in New York.
At 51, the singer has had quite an eventful life. Brown’s career started bright and promising in the 80s and early 90s, embellished with great hits to his name until the late 90s when he started to fizzle out amidst his troubled marriage to the late music icon, Whitney Houston.
His marriage to Houston was, at first, a typical love story with all the tender love and flurry emotions. Those never left the relationship, but drugs and hard-partying came in and upset the balance.
They both drank heavily and got addicted to drugs, all of which accompanied the downward spiral of Brown’s musical career. They welcomed their first and only child together, Bobbi Kristina, in 1993, a year after they got married.
15 years after they tied the knot, Brown and Houston could no longer continue down that path and they divorced in 2007. In 2012, tragedy hit when Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills Hilton hotel room.
In 2015, his only child with her, Bobbi Kristina, passed away at the young age of 22, months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub just like her late mother. It seemed that tragedy continued to haunt Brown and he could not seem to catch a break.
Thinking about his daughter, Brown said that there were tears in his eyes, but he had moved past that dark period and he was happier. He knew that God was not finished with him.
Before his marriage to Houston, Brown already had three children — a son, Landon with his ex, Melika Williams, two kids with Kim Ward, daughter La’Princia, and son Bobby Jr.
After his marriage to Houston, Brown got married to his current wife, Alicia Etheredge in 2012. Their first child together, Cassius, was born in 2009, and he reportedly announced it while on stage at a club in New York.
Their second child, Bodhi, came in 2015 while they welcomed their youngest child, Hendrix Estelle, in 2016, officially making Brown a father of seven.
Brown has genuinely lived an eventful life, but now he seems to just be kicking it back and relaxing with his family, even if it comes with a little wait and an obvious increase in his midriff.
