Hollywood Life: See Rohan Marley's Apology to Daughter Selah after She Revealed Her Childhood Trauma

Bob Marley's son says sorry to his 21-year old daughter, Selah who refers to her Instagram admissions as a healing process.

Rohan Marley, son of legendary singer Bob Marley has come out publicly to apologize to his daughter, Selah Louise Marley, following her claims in a recent Instagram video that her childhood had been traumatic as a result of his not being around.

In the lengthy video, Selah, 21, revealed that she is dealing with the trauma she had experienced as a child, caused by a lack of understanding between her parents, her father not being around, and their eventual separation.

She further revealed that her parents' constant arguing, especially at night, often disturbed her sleep and denied her peace.

While defending her mother, Selah argued that her mom had evolved in the past couple of years and was doing better, adding that her father was equally working on himself.

According to Hollywood life, Rohan's apology came in a statement he sent out through his rep, saying: "I love her very much and do apologize for any contributions I may have added by arguing in front of her as a child."

The 48-year-old father added that he is proud of his daughter and is happy with her "fearless expression", acknowledging that her admission had been her way of achieving emotional cleansing. While pointing out that he is still growing in some areas, Rohan made a touching promise to his daughter when he said:

"I will be there for her no matter how many hours, days, months or years it will take. I will be the best Dad that I can be. One Love."

Shortly after her first video, the 21-year-old, who is also the daughter of a famous song-writer and singer, Lauryn Hill, came on Instagram TV to address the headlines that trailed her public admissions.

Bob Marley's grand-daughter explained that she was not going to allow her parents to be portrayed in a negative light because they were humans.

While defending her mother, Selah argued that her mom had evolved in the past couple of years and was doing better, adding that her father was equally working on himself and becoming a better person.

The young model disclosed that she now has a good relationship with her mom, whom she noted had been texting her at the time of the recording.

Regarding Selah's relationship with her father, things are looking up, and it seems they are opening up communications amid all the drama. Furthermore, her video had garnered a lot of comments from fans who praised her efforts while adding that they could relate to her experiences.

The young Marley's recent revelations have undoubtedly brought the spotlight back on her celebrity mom who had always seemed to prefer keeping a low profile for her personal life.

Lauryn dated iconic singer Wyclef Jean briefly before and after his marriage to his wife, Claudine Jeanette. She later started dating Rohan in the 90's during which they had five kids together. Rohan and Lauryn dated until 2009.
