Finding Freedom' Claims Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's $14.7m Santa Barbara Mansion Is Their Forever Home
Royal correspondent Omid Scobie claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to settle in their Santa Barbara home on their own: “This is really a moment for them to find their independence.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have kept their lives private in recent months, only having insiders share what has been happening to the public.
Recently, royal correspondent and co-author of “Finding Freedom; Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family” Omid Scobie, shared that the couple found their new home.

FINDING A HOME
According to Scobie, searching for the perfect home amid the pandemic came as a challenge, but eventually, the royal couple found a place to settle in Santa Barbara. He shared:
“A home that they have bought with their own money. There’s been a lot of speculation about Prince Charles potentially funding this, but this is really a moment for them to find their independence.”
The author revealed that Markle and Harry have a mortgage, just like ordinary people. “They’ve done this on their own,” he added.

ROYAL MANSION
The Santa Barbara mansion is reportedly an 18,671-square-foot-house with nine bedrooms and 19 bathrooms, built in 2003.

The couple bought the house for $14.6 million on June 17 after living in Tyler Perry’s $18 million Beverly Hills mansion.

“FINDING FREEDOM”
The book “Finding Freedom also has Carolyn Durand as the co-author, who along with Scobie, admitted that the royal couple was not interviewed for the novel.
However, over 100 sources close to the couple gave their insights after being upset with how they were treated.
The book contains stories about Markle and Harry’s relationship, the actress’ first marriage, and their time as part of the royal household.
LIFE WITH ARCHIE
The top priority for the couple remains to be raising their son in a healthy environment. Recently, an insider revealed that the little royal reached a new milestone with his first words.

At six months old, Archie already did movements like rolling over and sitting up, without help from his parents. Certainly, he will grow up to be a smart and well-rounded boy.
