Watch Martin Lawrence & Ex-Wife Shamicka Celebrate Daughter Amara's 18th B-Day Together

Martin Lawrence and his ex-wife, Shamicka, enjoyed a good time with family and friends as they marked their daughter, Amara's 18th birthday together.

Martin Lawrence and his ex-wife, Shamicka Lawrence had a swell time celebrating their daughter, Amara Trinity Lawrence’s 18th birthday together. The comedian and actor kicked off the festivities by sharing an image of the celebrant wearing a tight black dress.

The fitting dress highlighted Amara’s curves as she pulled at one part of her off-shoulder outfit and looked outside a glass pane. Her nails were painted neon green, and her hair was styled in an updo. For jewelry, the 18-year-old opted for a gold necklace and earrings.

Shamicka followed with her own slideshow of images. While one snap came from the day of Amara’s birth, another was a shot from her growing years. Along with the photos, the proud mother gushed in the caption:

“I Love Watching you Grow Into Such a Creative, Joyful, Confident, Young Woman. I am Truly Blessed To Be Your Mommy. Enjoy This Day.”

Last year, the couple came together to drop their other daughter, Iyanna off when she began her first semester at Sarah Lawrence College.

The couple rounded off the event by throwing a party for their daughter’s birthday. In a video which was filmed by Martin’s eldest daughter, Jasmine, fans got to see how the bash turned out.

The clip kicked off from the outdoors which was filled with decorations including pink and white balloons. After she got everybody outside to say hi, Jasmine took the video inside where more people were.

Luckily, everybody appeared to be practicing social distancing and wearing a mask. It didn’t take long before Amara cut her cake and the party guests sang her the birthday song.

This wouldn’t be the first time that the former couple would team up for a family-related occasion. Last year, the couple came together to drop their other daughter, Iyanna off when she began her first semester at Sarah Lawrence College.

Martin and Shamicka welcomed both girls during their short-lived union. They got married in 2010 and filed for divorce only two years later. Martin was previously married to Patricia Southall whom he shares Jasmine with.

As it turned out, it’s not only his love life that has suffered some setbacks. For one, a legal comedy that he starred in alongside Kelsey Grammer was canceled after just ten episodes in 2014.

The actor suffered another setback when a planned situational comedy with CBS didn’t manifest. Despite those snags, fans have remained loyal to him and they hope he gets his mojo back soon.
