La La Anthony's Son Kiyan Speaks up about His Magazine Cover in a New Video – See It Here

La La Anthony's 13-year-old son Kiyan Anthony looked all grown up as he spoke about his motivation in being on the cover of the sports magazine, Slam Magazine, with his father.

La La Anthony and Carmelo Anthony are high profile couple that always keeps the public guessing. The couple has an on and off relationship stemming from 2017 when they first announced their separation.

They welcomed their only son, Kiyan Anthony in 2007. Three years later, they tied the knot and had cameras rolling as they exchanged vows on the reality show, "La La's Full Court Life."

It is reported that La La and Carmelo's relationship has been plagued with allegations of infidelity. The NBA star also fathered a child outside his marriage and had a daughter with a woman named Mia Angel Burks.

Despite their ups and downs, La La has been open with the media about how well they co-parent. The Anthonys have gone on vacations together over the years and are even quarantining together.

Although co-parenting with Carmelo appears to be going well for La La, rasing a pre-teen has been a bit challenging for the "Power" actress. During an interview with ABC News in 2019, she admitted that Kiyan is becoming more independent.

However, La La has a lot to be proud of too. Recently, Kiyan graced the cover for a special issue of Slam Magazine with his father.

Days after the issue came out, La La shared a video of Kiyan explaining the reason he chose to be on the magazine cover with Carmelo. He said:

"It's Kiyan Anthony and I'm honored to be on the cover with my dad, this cover represents Black Lives Matter and all the senseless killings."

Kiyan and Carmelo are both on the cover wearing black hooded sweaters. The 13-year-old said he is supporting the people protesting against police brutality.

He also added that he stands with the families that have been affected or have lost a loved one to racially motivated killings. Many of La La's followers praised Kiyan for the bold message. Singer Ciara expressed how proud she was of him.

During her interview with ABC News, La La gushed over how confident she was in the positive values she has instilled in her son.

She admitted that her worries about him becoming a teenager have more to do with the people around Kiyan because she believes that he is a "good boy."

The proud mom proved this with the Slam Magazine cover that gave fans a look into some of the values she praises her son for having.
