Gianna Bryant, the deceased daughter of basketball legend Kobe Bryant, would have turned 14 last week. Several of the family's close friends remembered the little girl, including La La Anthony.

On Saturday, the 38-year-old actress and model shared a picture of her son, Kiyan, on Instagram. As her caption explained, the picture was in honor of the late Gigi’s birthday.

In the picture, Kiyan smiles as he wears a baggy Paris Saint-Germain x Jordan shirt and a red head-warmer. An avid basketball fan – like Gianna – the little boy holds a ball as he smiles for the camera.

Gianna was ready to carry on her father’s basketball legacy. She was an enthusiastic student of the game, and she had dreams of playing in the WNBA someday.

Sadly, those dreams were dashed earlier this year when she and her father died in a helicopter crash. In her tribute to Gigi, La La tagged Gigi’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, and captioned the picture:

Several celebrities have come out to honor Gianna on what would have been her birthday. These include Kim and Khloe, Kardashian, Alex Rodriguez, Ciara, and more. Most of them went on social media to congratulate the late Gigi, tag Vanessa in their posts and use the hashtag #playgigisway.

Many have stoked rumors that La La and Carmelo could be back together.

As expected, the most touching tribute came from Vanessa. Since Kobe and Gianna died, Vanessa has shared several social media posts explaining what they both meant to her and the family.

On Gigi’s posthumous birthday, Vanessa shared a picture of her late daughter, adding that Gigi is a part of her soul. She said:

"I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs, and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!"

As for La La and her family, it would appear that they’re still all in quarantine. She and her on-again, off-again husband, basketball star Carmelo Anthony, are self-isolating together, according to reports.

In the past few weeks, La La has shared several family photos on her social media. She posted one with Carmelo and Kiyan recently, as well as another with her and Kiyan dancing on Easter Sunday.

With all of these, many have stoked rumors that La La and Carmelo could be back together. However, it would appear that the rumors are false.

Reports have confirmed that there are ongoing legal discussions about the future of their marriage. The actress could finally be ready to move on.
