REMEMBERING BOSEMAN
McClain revealed that she met and spent time with the late actor during the end stages of “Black Panther’s” casting. The actress noted that she immediately liked his personality upon meeting him. She said:
“The thing that stood out to me the most about him was the level of comfort he had in himself and who he was and his purpose that God put in him.”

THEIR LAST ENCOUNTER
McClain was able to do a panel with the “Black Panther” star last year and noticed no difference in how he carried himself and interacted with others, despite his immense fame following the film’s release.
Despite his condition, Boseman lived his life to the fullest and worked on different films, including “Da 5 Bloods,” “Marshall,” and “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”
Although the “Descendants” actress did not expound on their last encounter, she noted that Boseman “imparted wisdom” on her, as he did with many others.
A TRIBUTE TO BOSEMAN
Several celebrities paid their respects to the late actor, such as Robert Downey Jr., Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, Brie Larson, and the rest of his “Avengers” family.
Fans of the star also honored him, including seven-year-old Kian Westbrook who cried upon learning his favorite superhero passed away.
Although Kian never met Boseman, he held a small memorial for the actor in front of his home by placing his Black Panther toy on top of a shoebox and wrapped it with a black silk cloth. He also had flowers and his other “Avengers” figurines around the box.
BOSEMAN DIES OF CANCER
The actor who played the titular character in Marvel’s “Black Panther” passed away over the weekend after battling colon cancer.
Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and it worsened through the years until eventually progressing to stage IV.
