HER FATHER-IN-LAW’S FUNERAL
Only five people were present including Bush Hager and her husband. John Hager was 83 when he passed away on August 23, 2020.
Jenna was moved by her husband's powerful eulogy to his father.
Henry’s father had served as the lieutenant governor of Virginia. He’d spent much of his adult life in a wheelchair after contracting polio in 1973.
PART OF HENRY’S EULOGY
Giving a snippet of her husband’s eulogy for her father-in-law, the co-host said: “His hands are no longer in pain, his arms are no longer in pain, and he's standing 6-foot-5-inches tall, smiling down." Bush Hager also noted how:
"I was so proud of my husband in that moment.”
The co-host’s husband also shared how his father had been his hero. Noting how he was wheelchair-bound, Henry touchingly stated that his father’s cape wasn’t easily visible because of his wheelchair.
