See Sarah Michelle Gellar's Tribute to Freddie Prinze Jr on Their 18th Wedding Anniversary

On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, actress Sarah Michelle Gellar celebrated her wedding anniversary by posting two throwback photos on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Sarah Michelle Gellar, 43, honored her wedding anniversary with Freddie Prinze Jr., 44. She posted two black-and-white images from their wedding day to celebrate the special event.

The pictures appeared to be from the moment the pair was exchanging their vows. She captioned the post with a sweet message writing:

"You... are my favorite husband #happyanniversary.”

THE COUPLE’S MARRIAGE

This month, the couple has been married for 18 years after their 2002 Mexico wedding. The pair initially met in the 1997 horror movie, “I Know What You Did Last Summer” where they were co-stars.

Gellar and Prinze Jr. ended up on a date by mistake.

After filming was done, the two stayed in touch. They remained friends for years before taking the next step and becoming a couple in 2000.

THEIR FIRST DATE

The two ended up having their first date by accident when a mutual friend missed their flight and failed to attend a dinner event. Instead of canceling the meet-up, Gellar and Prinze had the dinner date together.

The actors are now parents to two children, Charlotte, 10, and Rocky, 7. Gellar and Prinze’s children were being homeschooled in May 2020, amidst the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease.

HOMESCHOOLING

According to photos that the actress uploaded, the parents are taking on the teaching thing as a unit. They appeared in an image together while helping each other to teach their little children.

GELLAR’S BUSINESS

When they aren’t teaching or seen on the big and small screens, the couple is focused on other things. Gellar is the co-founder of Foodstirs, a company that offers organic baking mixes and treats in California.

PRINZE IS AN AUTHOR

While Prinze is a cookbook author. In 2016, he released a book titled “Back to the Kitchen: 75 Real Recipes & True Stories from a Food-Obsessed Actor.”

STICKING IT OUT

The duo is one of the few celebrity couples who’ve managed to stick it out in their marriage. The pair often shares images of each other on their social media platforms showing how much in love they still are.
