Fans of "House of Payne" were left shell-shocked after the latest episode of the series showed the surprising return of "Malik Payne" and his new look.

Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" has caused quite a stir on social media after fans witnessed the return of Malik Payne on the show's latest episode.

On Twitter, many fans were surprised by the appearance of Malik played by Doc Shaw while expressing their concerns on how he looked. Someone shared that the new season was out, with Malik not looking "too good."

One Twitter user joked that the "Malik" actor looked like he aged so much and compared him to an eighty-year-old man. Another added that the actor looked so different.

Once in a 2019 interview, Shaw made it known that he embarked on a body transformation journey with fresh juice as part of his meals.

More Twitter fans joined in the interaction as they shared the same sentiment that the Malik star looked way older than their expectations.

The award-winning show ran for eight seasons and even got a spin-off, "The Paynes," which ran for two seasons. Now that the show is back for its ninth season, fans are thrilled and getting ready to dive into the show's plot one again.

However, Shaw took many viewers by surprise as he revealed his weight loss on the show. In older seasons, he was known to be the chubby child in the Payne's home. These days, the young actor has shed most of his weight, making him lose his boyish look.

Once in a 2019 interview, Shaw made it known that he embarked on a body transformation journey with fresh juice as part of his meals. He shared that he lost 60 to 65 pounds in two years.

The 28-year-old added that he used to be overweight and was beginning to get weight-related illnesses. Shaw shared that his family had a history of genetic diabetes and he was trying to avoid it.

"House of Payne" made a comeback after a five-year hiatus. The show earlier premiered in 2006 and came to an end in 2012. Perry kick-started a new season of "House of Payne" alongside a new show, "Assisted Living," all on BET.

Shaw is a fast-rising Hollywood star who is the only child of Larry and Tamie Shaw. After they noticed his exceptional talent, his parents got him a modeling job and before long, he appeared in several ads.

Although Shaw moved swiftly through the industry appearing in several commercials, it wasn't until 2006 that he got his big break in his role as "Malik" in "House of Payne."
