In the accompanying caption, Megan had nothing but sweet words to say as she wished Beyoncé a happy birthday and reflected on the first time they met. She wrote:
“I will never forget the day I met you. I was so nervous I didn’t even know what I was going to say, and then when we finally spoke, the conversation just flowed so naturally.”
She continued, thanking Beyoncé for her words of encouragement, inspiration, and support before concluding with a declaration of her love for the singer.
Beyoncé and Megan’s connection has also transitioned into their careers as they collaborated on the remix of the latter’s hit track, “Savage."
Beyoncé and Megan first crossed paths at the former’s star-studded New Year’s Eve party. The “Hot Girl Summer” crooner shared photos on her Instagram announcing their friendship.
However, in May, the 25-year-old fully opened up about their relationship, disclosing that they connected within the first five minutes of meeting each other.
She explained that they danced all night and that the 24-time Grammy winner loved her playful and party animal nature. Since then, the duo has shared a tight bond, and according to Megan, they talk frequently as the “Single Ladies” crooner treats her like family.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have also reportedly taken her under their wings. She was signed to his record label, Roc Nation, shortly after her legal battle with her music label, 1501 Entertainment.
The close-knit bond they share was evident when Beyoncé sent her flowers alongside a get-well-soon card. Megan shared photos of the lovely bouquet on her Instagram shortly after she underwent surgery to remove bullets from her feet following a shooting incident involving Tory Lanez.
Beyoncé and Megan’s connection has also transitioned into their careers as they collaborated on the remix of the latter’s hit track, “Savage.”
The highly-anticipated remix bagged the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the number one song in the United States in May. The EP on which the track was featured, "Suga," also made the top 10 on the Billboard 200.
