"Good Morning America" co-host Michael Strahan celebrated his only son Michael Jr.'s 25th birthday with a heartwarming Instagram post, saying that he is proud to be his father.

Former New York Giants player and "Good Morning America" co-host, Michael Strahan had a pretty special reason to celebrate last weekend. After all, it was his only son Michael Jr.'s 25th birthday.

To commemorate the occasion, Strahan took to Instagram to share a sweet message dedicated to his handsome son. Alongside the message, he shared a photo of himself and Michael Jr.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHAEL JR.!

Wishing the young man a happy birthday, Strahan went on to share how much he means to him and expressed his gratitude for having a son like Michael Jr. In the touching caption, he wrote:

"Proud and honored to be your dad, you continue to amaze me with your maturity and hard work. Love you."

Michael Jr. is the second child of Strahan and his first ex-wife, Wanda Hutchins. He was born in 1995, two years after his father was drafted by the New York Giants.

Having lost his own father recently, he also realizes how important it is for children to reach out to their parents.

THEIR MIXED BROOD

Michael Jr. has an older biological sister, Tanita. She was born in 1992 and is the eldest child of Strahan. She works as a visual artist in LA and even has her own podcast.

Besides Tanita and Michael Jr., Strahan is a proud father to two twin girls, Isabella and Sophia. They were born out of his marriage with his ex-wife, Jean Muggli. Just like their half-siblings, they are pretty close to their dad.

According to Strahan, his kids are the source of his strength. In an interview with People, he once shared that all of them are close to each other although they were raised apart. He further said:

"My kids give me strength. I love being with the kids. To me it's all about family, now more than anything."

MICHAEL RECENTLY LOST HIS DAD

Strahan knows how vital the role of a father is in their children's lives. Having lost his own father recently, he also realizes how important it is for children to reach out to their parents.

In an emotional Instagram post, Strahan shared that his father was his hero and everything he ever did in life was to make him proud. He also reminded his fans to take time to reach out to their parents, partner, and kids and show them that they care.
