See First Trailer for Comedy-Thriller 'Pixie' with Alec Baldwin Playing Deadly Gangster Priest
The “Beetlejuice” star gave his Irish accent the best try on a soon-to-be-released comedy film, and here’s a sneak peek of what his latest character will be like.
62-year-old actor Alex Baldwin’s upcoming film “Pixie” is still in the post-production stage, but the comedy-thriller, directed by Barnaby Thompson, already has a trailer, and Baldwin has an interesting part in it.
Halfway to the 2-minute trailer released on September 15, 2020, Baldwin makes his appearance as an Irish Catholic priest that is also a gangster who leads a troupe of armed priests around the countryside.

The gang of “deadly” priests is after the film’s title character, played by Olivia Coke, and her two reluctant associates, played by Ben Hardy and Daryl McCormack.
The trailer’s caption, written by Paramount Pictures UK, summarizes the story, which goes about Pixie trying to avenge her mother’s death and ends up running from the gangster priests.
The Irish news outlet Entertainment celebrated the mostly Irish cast of the film, on which the town of Sligo has a significant part, but they were not exactly convinced about Baldwin’s attempt of an Irish accent.
INTRODUCING EDUARDO BALDWIN
The first glimpse of Alec as a gangster priest was released less around a week after the actor and his wife Hilaria welcomed their fifth child together, with son Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin being born on September 8.
On September 10, the happy couple returned home from the hospital with their newborn, who joins his older brothers Rafael, Leonardo, and Romeo, and his older sister Carmen, who were so excited to meet the newest addition to the family.
Hilaria took to Instagram that day to share the first close-up image of Eduardo, looking adorable wrapped in a knitted blanket.
“We had a baby last night. He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier,” Hilaria wrote the previous day, sharing an image of herself on her hospital bed with her baby in her arms while Alex watches them, and promising to reveal the boy’s name later.
BACK TO THE MOVIES
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has seriously affected the entertainment industry in the last months, Alec hasn’t lost faith in the future of cinema, and apart from “Pixie,” he has several projects going on.
And now that he has welcomed another child, the actor certainly needs to continue working to support his big family, which has probably prompted him to urge his fans to revive drive-in theaters as a way to keep the art form alive.
Early in August, Alec reminded his fans in a video that the way we enjoy films have always kept evolving, and he embraced the resurgence of drive-in theaters as a way to get together while maintaining social distancing.
