Catherine Zeta-Jones Gives a Glimpse of Living Room in Her New York House with Michael Douglas

While taking time for herself, the “Chicago” actress shared a bit of her luxurious abode located a few miles away from Manhattan. The place has been her family’s refuge amid quarantine, however, everyone respects each other’s space.

50-year-old actress Catherine Zeta-Jones recently took to Instagram to show a glimpse of one of the living rooms of her astonishing residence in New York. The place is the family home where she lives with her 20-year husband, 75-year-old legendary actor Michael Douglas, and their two children.

While relaxing for a while to take a break from her duties, Zeta-Jones shared a video in which she is on a cozy couch, in a natural-lighted and spacious room. The place has two dark pink armchairs and a gold coffee table in the center which has a vase of colorful flowers on it.

In the living where the “Chicago” actress gets a break, there is also a white and pink striped couch located between two large chandeliers right in front of a tall window which lets the sunlight come into the whole place. She captioned the video:

“Just me, at home, stretching out in my @casazetajones shoes.”

Zeta-Jones has always been open about showing her home. According to her “interiors fanatic” description on her Instagram profile, and her homeware range brand, Casa Zeta-Jones, there is no doubt she has a great taste to decorate her home and flaunt it.

GOOD TASTE

Zeta-Jones and Douglas’ house in Irvington, New York is big enough for them and their teenage children, 19-year-old Dylan, and 17-year-old Carys, to have each one their own space. The couple bought a Georgian-style $4.5million property in 2019 located on a 12-acre estate.

Common areas of the house are decorated in a very sophisticated way, using tonal cream shades that are usually sprinkled with colorful details with bright flowers or a painting on the wall. As an art lover, every room in the house is filled with artwork which the actress takes good care of.

The couple's master bathroom could be easily confused with a spa due to its luxurious marble decoration, a big mirror, and ample space to relax at the end of the day. Zeta-Jones is also a shoe lover, and she is neat when it comes to organizing her precious footwear and spacious wardrobe.

SOPHISTICATED HOME

Dinner occasions are special not only by the elegance of the dining room but also by the exquisite and impeccable kitchen, which usually has a bouquet of flowers for decoration as well. The large 14 people table in the dining room is also the actress’ favorite place to sew on her machine.

The astonishing Zeta-Jones and Douglas’ abode also has a swimming pool in their backyard, a fitness room specially made for the actress to practice ballet and dance lessons, a library, and a game room, where the family has been spending lots of time during the quarantine.

Besides this luxurious property, the couple also owns an apartment near Central Park in New York and a big family house in Wales at Zeta-Jones’ hometown.
