Simon Cowell Works on Strengthening in His Back as He Prepares for His Return to AGT
Simon Cowell is reportedly working to strengthen his back post-surgery as the finale of "America's Got Talent" approaches. While away, the renowned talent judge missed the quarterfinals and semifinals.
As the season 15 finale of "America's Got Talent" approaches, Simon Cowell is reportedly working hard to return to the show.
According to a source who spoke to People Magazine, Cowell, who had to give up his judging duties after breaking his back on August 8 from an electric bike accident, is busy preparing for his eventual resumption.

After the accident, the 60-year-old had to undergo surgery, which saw the doctors put a metal rod and some fusions in his back. While recovering at home in Malibu, he had to miss the live quarterfinals, which lasted four weeks, and the semifinals, which was for two weeks.
Cowell isn't the only one eager to return to his judging duties as his "AGT" family have expressed their hope to have him back.
However, it seems the television personality is bent on kickstarting his work duties sooner than expected. According to the insider, Cowell has been swimming to strengthen his back muscle.
The source noted that it took a while after the surgery before he could start swimming, but he has kept at it for some weeks once he was able to. The insider added:
"He's reading a lot and building his muscle strength in his back with the exercise and eating healthy foods but he's taking it week by week to ensure the post-surgery healing stays on track."
Alongside swimming and eating healthily, Cowell has also been taking long walks, proving that he is improving speedily. While he's still at home, he has the support of his partner Lauren Silverman and their son, Eric, 6, as they spend more time together in his home.

Heidi Klum hinted at his comeback in an interview while Howie Mandel also expressed his hope that his co-star wouldn't be absent from the season's end.
Cowell didn't have to give up his seat at "AGT" and at "Britain's Got Talent," which is in its semifinals rounds. While he's laying low with his family, sources confirm that the television personality is concerned about his son's health amid the ongoing pandemic.
In February, he revealed in an interview that his biggest fear was Eric and Silverman contracting the virus, and his major responsibility is protecting them.
The source mentioned that the father-of-one is in severe pain, and that is why he hasn't given an official announcement about his return.
While it seems as though it is all positive news coming from Cowell's camp, there are rumors that his injuries are worse than the talent scout is letting on.
