'My 600-Lb. Life' Star Coliesa McMillian Dies Aged 41 — Here Are the Details

Coliesa McMillian, a reality star on “My 600-Lb Life,” has sadly passed away at the age of 41. According to her obituary, she died on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

A day after Coliesa McMillian’s death, the network that airs “My 600-Lb Life” tweeted a confirmation of her passing. TLC sadly wrote:

“TLC is saddened to learn of the loss of Coliesa McMillian, who shared her story on My 600lb Life.”

TLC MOURNS COLIESA’S DEATH

The network also shared its condolences with the star’s family. According to McMillian’s “Legacy” obituary, she passed away peacefully at The Crossing, a hospital in Louisiana.

She was living in St. Francisville at the time of her death and she was born in Port Allen, Los Angeles. Her funeral service is set to occur on Friday, September 25, 2020.

WHEN SHE WILL BE BURIED

The star will be laid to rest at the Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. Before she died this month, the reality star lost her mother, Reba Kay Lee, her father Homer Lee, Jr., her sister Miranda Herline, and her nephew Ethan Henry.

Coliesa McMillian isn’t the only person who’s passed away after appearing on “My 600-Lb Life.”

Mourners are encouraged to plant a tree in her memory by visiting the Sympathy Store. McMillian is survived by her four daughters, Hannah, Sadie, Kadelynn, and Victoria, and her siblings.

APPEARING ON TLC SHOW

The star was known for her appearance on “My 600-Lb Life.” Before starring on the weight-loss show, she suffered a heart attack at age 39 and lost her fiancé in a car accident.

She ended up suffering from complications this year after she opted to get surgery that would help her with her weight-loss journey. The complications were so bad that she was put in a medically induced coma.

SURGERY COMPLICATIONS

Her niece Blair shared how the star had suffered hemorrhaging and had to be placed on a ventilator. Shortly after her medically induced coma, she ended up flatlining but her exact cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet.

McMillian started off on the TLC show weighing 643 lbs. before she managed to lose 150 lbs. The weight-loss was possible through a gastric sleeve surgery that the reality star got through the show.

ANOTHER TLC REALITY STAR LOST

The reality star isn’t the only person who’s passed away after appearing on “My 600-Lb Life.” On April 3, 2020, James King died at the age of 49.

According to “The Sun,” the reality star allegedly died of kidney failure. King appeared on season 5 of the TLC series in 2017, where he weighed 791 lbs.
