'The View's' Meghan McCain Thanks People for Their Well Wishes after Welcoming Her First Child
Meghan McCain and her husband Ben Domenech officially welcomed their baby girl to the world. Elated at their daughter's arrival, they named her after the family's love of democracy.
Daytime talk show "The View" announced the news of McCain and Domenech's first daughter's arrival on social media, letting fans know that mom and baby were doing well.
The 35-year-old daughter of the late Senator John McCain had kept her pregnancy private, and she intends to do the same with her daughter's life as well.

THE CHOSEN PATH OF PRIVACY
McCain and Domenech decided to name their firstborn Liberty Sage McCain Domenech, and "The View" shared their excitement with fans in the announcement of her arrival and wrote:
"We are excited to share the happy news that our @MeghanMcCain and her husband Ben Domenech welcomed their first child. Congratulations Meghan and Ben."
In May, McCain already, who joined "The View" in 2014, explained that hurtful comments she received about her father's death were enough to discourage her from sharing anything about her pregnancy or her child's life on social media.
Even so, she felt sympathy for Ben, who bore the brunt of her nesting phase.
BOUNDLESS GRATITUDE
But McCain did take the time to thank everyone for their well-wishes after Liberty's birth, grateful for the gift. Knowing how precious life is, McCain suffered a miscarriage almost a year before announcing her pregnancy with Liberty in March.
"Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful well wishes and overwhelming kindness," McCain wrote on social media. "Ben and I are completely and utterly in love with our daughter and feeling indescribably blessed/blissed out."
BEN HAD HIS HANDS FULL
In the last two and a half weeks of McCain's pregnancy, she tried her utmost in continuing to looking human, but feeling like "Shamu" stuck until she gave birth to Liberty.
Even so, she felt sympathy for Ben, who bore the brunt of her nesting phase, as she jokingly asked fans to pray for her poor husband, since he's had to unpack a never-ending supply of boxes she ordered the last couple of weeks.
The last couple of weeks also had fans wonder whether Meghan McCain would be leaving "The View" now that she is focused on her newborn.
However, she assured a concerned fan on social media that all is well, and that she would only be taking maternity leave. Congratulations on the birth of your first child and daughter, Liberty!
