Taking to Instagram, Roberts posted the two-photo collage of the mother and daughter standing next to each other as they smiled for the camera while their beauty shone through.
The first image showed them twinning in matching blue jeans. While Roberts had on a woolen sweater, Leila looked gorgeous in her black leather jacket. Captioning the post, Roberts said:
"So I heard late today that it's #nationaldaughterday. Didn't know but will welcome any chance to celebrate the bright spark in my life. "
She concluded her caption by saying that every time she thought of her daughter Leila, she could not help but smile, and overall, Roberts admitted to missing Leila.
The second image was a glistening reflection of the mother and daughter. They both had on huge smiles, and the slight dimple on their faces were evident as they looked astonishingly radiant.
She is currently following in her parents' footsteps.
Lovers of Roberts and her family took to the comments section to share their thoughts and views. Some fans noted that the resemblance between Roberts and her daughter was stunning as they even had the same smile. Someone summed up the post saying:
"Two Beautiful Queens!! God Bless You Both!!❤️❤️????."
Leila is the daughter of seasoned television personalities Roker and Roberts. She is currently following in her parents' footsteps as she is studying to become a journalist.
Although she is studying at The American University of Paris and is set to graduate in 2021, Leila has interned at various broadcasting houses, boosting her resume with the needed work experience.
Aside from being a journalist, Leila also often shares her experiences with racism and lends her voice to speak up about racial issues and how it affects individuals in society.
For Roker and Roberts, the joy that comes with watching their children grow into unique personalities is something they cannot describe as they continually give them the support and cheer they need to be themselves.
