L&HH Star Waka Flocka Flame Earns Honorary Doctorate Degree in Philanthropy and Humanitarianism
After committing to the mental health and suicide battle, Waka Flocka Flame is holding true to his words with an honorary doctorate degree in philanthropy and humanitarianism.
Waka Flocka Flame earned himself an honorary doctorate degree in philanthropy and humanitarianism. He shared this achievement with fans in an Instagram post with the caption:
"I got Honorary Doctorate in Philanthropy and Humanitarianism... my work just beginning!!![sic]."

The photo showed the 34-year-old in a blue graduation gown with red embellishments, a blue cap with a yellow tassel, and shiny black shoes. He could be seen clapping where he sat against a white wall somewhere on stage with just a glimpse of the podium in view.
Fans were proud of him as they congratulated him on the degree. Some fans also asked how they should refer to him with the new title in the mix, while others were looking forward to his next achievement.
Beyond the fans, his wife, Tammy Rivera, was excited for him, and she took to Instagram to congratulate him with a candid photo from the ceremony.
The rapper wore a big smile with his left hand holding his certificate while the right was raised in celebration in the empty event hall. Rivera said she was proud of him and sent him a shoutout on the degree while referring to him as her "lil bro" the entire time.
Another of such decisions would be his failure to pay tax at various points leading to a debt pile in the tens of thousands.
Her fans were not left out of the celebration as they sent in their compliments. A fan asked them to make the award go viral in order to combat the negativity surrounding Black rappers.
Flame made the decision to fight suicide and raise awareness for mental health after his younger brother, Coades Scott died by suicide in 2013.
The "Love and Hip Hop" star has, however, taken some other unagreeable stands, such as his belief that his unfaithfulness has helped his wife.
He shared in a therapy session on the couple's reality show, "What The Flocka," that his cheating helped his wife get mean and stronger, which was good for her.
Another of such decisions would be his failure to pay tax at various points leading to a debt pile in the tens of thousands with the most recent adding up to $35,000.
However, the couple seems to be doing well as they are preparing for the second season of their reality show with WE-TV.
