Mo'Nique Shows Slimmer Body as She Enjoys Pool Day with Husband and Their Kids in New Videos

"Precious" star Mo'Nique flaunted the results of her weight-loss journey in a series of videos and pictures of herself spending time with her husband and children in the pool.

Comedian and actress, Monique Angela Hicks who was once a plus-sized actress has since embarked on a weight loss journey and she is not shy in flaunting the results on social media especially with her lovely family.

On October 4, the 52-year-old uploaded a couple of videos and pictures on Instagram that showed off her slim body in a swimsuit as she had fun with her family at the pool.

The first slide was a video of the actress with her husband, Sidney Hicks, and their children relaxing in their extensive backyard pool on Sunday morning. The family could be heard in the clip wishing fans good morning with happy smiles on their faces.

According to the director of "Precious," Lee Daniels, [Mo'Nique] had been "blackballed" from the movie industry.

The next slide was a romantic picture of Mo'Nique and her husband posing together in the pool with love-struck expressions and the rest of the posts were videos and pictures of the family having a good time.

The "Phat Girlz" star captioned the post with a sweet message to fans who she wished were having a lovely Sunday with their families as she was with hers.

The actress has always been an inspiration to her fans especially when she began her weight loss journey in the past couple of years.

The host of "The Mo'Nique Show" accomplished an impressive feat last year by running around a local race track twice without stopping. The star was emotional in the video she uploaded on Instagram where she implored fans not to give up on their goals.

Aside from her remarkable weight loss achievements, the 52-year-old also received the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the movie "Precious" at the 2010 Academy Awards.

However, winning the prestigious Oscar adversely affected Mo'Nique's career and she didn't land any more major roles after. According to the director of "Precious," Lee Daniels, the "Phat Girlz" actress had been "blackballed" from the movie industry by those who considered the star and her husband, Hicks to be difficult people.

The comedian and her husband of over 10 years have been criticized for various reasons but generally due to their open marriage. Regardless of the critics, the couple has declared on several occasions that they were happy.

In 2016, Mo'Nique and Hicks revealed that their unusual relationship which allowed them to have partners outside of their marriage worked for them because they had ground rules and good communication.

The arrangement was "The Queens Of Comedy" star's idea and Hicks insisted that their longtime friendship which began in high school has helped their marriage run smoothly.
