The second “Masked Singer” contestant to be unmasked last week was the Gremlin. When the costume’s head was lifted off the actor, Mickey Rourke was unveiled as the scary character.

Last week Wednesday on “The Masked Singer,” Group B took to the stage. Fans got to see characters like the Crocodile, Seahorse, Baby Alien, Whatchamacallit, Serpent, and Gremlin battle it out.

WHO WAS THE GREMLIN

Judge McCarthy was the only one who guessed that the Gremlin was none other than Rourke. The actor pretty much unveiled himself and joked that he took part in the show because he happened to be in the neighborhood.

This Wednesday night, the singing competition returned with the Group A Playoffs. The Snow Owls, Giraffe, Sun, and Popcorn returned to battle it out on the show.

CHARACTERS GIVE CLUES

Group A members also gave viewers and judges some more clues about who they could be. After each celebrity performed, judges received a clue that was delivered by a drone.

The clue was meant to help the judges to be able to unravel the mystery behind which character was which celebrity. Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke all serve as judges on the show.

GIRAFFE VOTED DOWN

When all contestants had finished performing, the Giraffe was voted to the bottom of the group. The character had given a rendition of Kool & the Gang’s hit song “Get Down On It.”

The judges then gave their final guesses as to who they thought was behind the costume. Some of their guesses included Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jason Priestley, Travis Barker, and Seth Green.

GIRAFFE’S IDENTITY REVEALED

The Giraffe’s time finally came for it to remove its long neck and Brian Austin Green surprised everyone by appearing underneath. Fans of the show reacted to an unveiling post by the series on Instagram.

One fan wrote: "Knew it from the very first episode. I'd recognize that voice anywhere.” While another person confessed that she had figured out who the celebrity was just before he was unmasked.

FAN’S REACT TO UNMASKING

Another “Masked Singer fan admitted: “I was so shook… now I'm rewatching the first performance wondering how I didn't notice…” A third person commented that she’d figured it was Green when someone guessed it was Megan Fox.

Someone else thought it was pretty cool that the actor was on the show and confessed to being shocked by the unveiling. Another fan admitted that the Giraffe character was the most confusing one.

WHERE FANS KNOW GREEN FROM

Green started appearing on “Beverly Hills, 90210” in 1990 when it began and stayed on the show until the end. The actor and singer played his role in the series for ten years before moving on.

Since then, the star has appeared in the sitcom “Freddie,” sci-fi series “Terminator,” and the series “Smallville.” He and Fox eventually married in 2010 after an on-and-off six-year relationship.

SHOW’S FIRST EPISODE

Season 4’s very first episode saw one character ending up at the bottom of Group A. The Sun, Popcorn, Dragon, Giraffe, and Snow Owls, all competed against each other to get to the finals.

The Dragon never made the cut and the judges had to guess who was behind the costume. Jeong guessed it was the Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps while McCarthy thought it was DMX, and Scherzinger and Thicke guessed it was Busta Rhymes.

DRAGON UNMASKED

Thicke and Scherzinger ended up being right when Rhymes, 48, appeared underneath. The Grammy-nominated rapper joked that he’d felt like he was in an oxygen tank in the fiery costume.

On September 13, 2020, Fox hosted a sneak peek episode to tantalize fans before the latest season began. The show’s host, Nick Cannon, revealed some clues for the 16 celebrity contests that would be taking part.

LINEUP BETTER THAN BEFORE

The Emmy-nominated show’s fall lineup managed to top that of the past three seasons. Some of the new costumes included edible characters like the Broccoli who will compete for the Golden Mask trophy.

In August 2020, “The Masked Singer” executive producer Craig Plestis shared what fans could expect from the upcoming season. He revealed that the season would be bigger than before and incredible.
