Father-Daughter day comes every October 11, but for Vanessa Bryant, the wife of the late Lakers' star Kobe Bryant, it is a day to posthumously celebrate her husband and young daughter, Gigi, who passed away in January. She wrote on Instagram:

of Kobe and Gigi wearing their Lakers Uniform together alongside the heartfelt caption that she penned. In the throwback photo, Kobe, who carried Gigi on one hand, was dressed in his gray Lakers t-shirt and a matching basketball hat.

The much younger Gigi looked sweet and adorable as she posed for a shot with her father. The sweet photo of Kobe and Gigi touched the hearts of Vanessa's followers.

In no time, the post gathered thousands of comments and likes as many people who reminisced on the late legend's legacy joined her in celebrating her late husband and daughter.

Vanessa congratulated the team for their win and expressed how much she wished her husband and daughter were still alive to witness the great success.

The L.A. Lakers defeated the Miami Heat 106-93 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, winning the best-of-seven series four games to two. Vanessa shared an old picture of her late husband with Rob Pelinka, the Lakers' General Manager, on her Instagram Story.

She congratulated the team for their win and expressed how much she wished her husband and daughter were still alive to witness the great success.

The post came months after the tragic death of Kobe and his daughter, with seven other people in a helicopter crash in Calabasas.

In May, while the world continued to mourn their deaths alongside Vanessa and the rest of their families, L.A. Lakers' President Jeannie Buss revealed that she had dreams of her longtime friend, which reassured her that he was in a good place.

Kobe and his young daughter Gigi might have departed from the world suddenly and tragically, but they will never be forgotten as they continue to rest in peace.
