DWTS Host Tyra Banks Reveals She Will Have 3 Outfit Changes in Honor of the Show's '80s Night
Before the recent 80s Night themed episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” host Tyra Banks revealed to her social media followers that she would be changing her outfit three times during the episode.
Tyra Banks, 46, informed fans on Monday that the “Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)” episode later that day would feature a special surprise. The surprise had to do with what the host would be wearing on the show.
DWTS is currently in its 29th season of the fan-favorite dance series. She first noted on her Instagram post that fans could expect the professional dancers and celebrities to bring their best each week.

WHAT TYRA BROUGHT TO THE TABLE
Banks also revealed what she would be bringing to the table on the episode besides her magnificent hosting skills. The “America’s Next Top Model” host stated about DWTS’ 80s night theme:
“I love bringing the fashion!”
HOW MANY TIMES SHE CHANGED
The host explained that she wouldn’t be changing only two times but for a total of three times throughout the night. She then encouraged her fans to tune into the show that evening on ABC.
Her post included a photo of the star wearing a corset-style dress that had a prominent thigh design. The dress she wore also featured a long slit that ran up to her upper thighs exposing one of her legs.
WHO WAS ELIMINATED
On the live episode, “Desperate Housewives” actor, Jesse Metcalfe was eliminated alongside his professional dancer partner Sharna Burgess. The pair lost out to former NFL athlete Vernon Davis and his partner Peta Murgatroyd.
Davis was ultimately saved by judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Even though his vote didn’t count much, judge Derek Hough also confessed that he would’ve chosen to save the former football player.
A MISHAP ON DWTS
Banks has already faced a mishap on DWTS after starting as its host this year. The Top thirteen night ended with her mistakenly calling out one of the wrong bottom two dance couples.
She incorrectly announced that Davis and his partner were in jeopardy because of incorrect information she got from the show’s control room. The host then corrected the mistake by bringing back Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy, who was placed in the bottom two, along with Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe.
POSSIBLE FILM REBOOT
Besides working as the sole host of DWTS, Banks is also planning on working on another exciting project. Last Wednesday, the star appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” where she confessed that “Coyote Ugly” might get a sequel.
The film might get a sequel or if that fails a series could be in the works. Twenty years ago, Banks starred in the original cult classic alongside Bridget Moynahan, Maria Bello, Piper Perabo, and Izabella Miko.
