In a recent interview, American actress Sarah Michelle Gellar opened up about her relationship with long-time friend and fellow actress Shannen Doherty and how she speaks to her every day.
The pair met in the nineties through their hit TV shows, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Charmed." Many years later and their friendship only seems to wax on stronger.

Gellar also revealed that Doherty taught her several recipes during the quarantine. She added that even though her husband Freddie Prinze was a chef, he was never patient with her in the kitchen. Her friend, on the other hand, was the exact opposite.
Besides whipping up delights in the kitchen, Gellar has had her hands full during the lockdown. She recently started homeschooling her 11-year-old daughter Charlotte and 8-year-old son Rocky, whom she shares with Prinze.
She, however, revealed that it was a challenging process because it was not easy being the parent, referee, principal, teacher, all at the same time. The actress further added that she had not been in school for a while and did not have the skill set to teach.
The star admitted that she placed a lot of pressure on herself to educate her kids as best as possible. Gellar then quipped that she went by with a lot of coffee and spoke with her kid's teachers daily.
She revealed that she took her time to treasure all the small moments most people take for granted.
In other news, Gellar and her sister from another mother, Doherty, have had to fight to keep their friendship going strong despite the many stories that made the rounds about Doherty's character.
The media frequently demonized the star as being difficult to work with and out of control. The actress revealed that all the stories she heard about herself caused her to be more defensive and made her close in on herself.
She added that she built a wall around herself, and a lot of resentment settled on her insides. Through these challenging times, Gellar stood by her friend and often spoke positively about the actress despite all the negative narratives.
This year, Doherty broke the tragic news that she was battling with stage IV breast cancer and had been struggling with it privately for over a year. The actress is, however, a fighter, as revealed by her former co-star Jason Priestley.
Another co-star, Ian Ziering, also spoke about how resilient the actress was all through the fight with the disease. He added that she was handling and managing her diagnosis to the best of her ability.
In an interview last month, Doherty revealed that she took her time to treasure all the small moments most people take for granted. The actress also added that she was working on many projects and wanted to serve as an advocate for other metastatic breast cancer patients.
