Season 19 of "The Voice" has not started officially, but Kelly Clarkson already has a favorite contestant. Last week, NBC released a preview clip featuring an audition from a woman named Tamara Jade.

The video, which was released ahead of Monday's premiere, saw Jade singing a cover of Lizzo's "Cuz I Love You." After singing the first line, the powerful singer seemed to have made an impression on Clarkson and her fellow judge, John Legend, who hit their buttons.

The two judges then stood in front of their respective distanced chairs and danced as they enjoyed Jade's rendition and cheered her on. The other two judges, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, listened intently while deciding whether to turn around or not.

Before the end of the performance, the two had also hit their buttons, meaning Jade got all four judges to turn around. After her performance, Clarkson inquired to know more about the contestant who revealed her name and added that she was 30 years old.

Clarkson then went on to make comments about the performance and noted that while many singers sound like they are trying hard, Jade sounded like she was simply exhaling.

The stunned judge also told the contestant that she believed in her voice and talent. Clarkson added that she was convinced Jade would make it to the competitions' finale.

Clarkson explained that having the couple being able to touch and hug will allow the audience to have a sense of normalcy.

In a bid to convince Jade, Clarkson explained that she thinks it would be better for the aspiring singer to have her as a coach because she has also been on a singing competition show.

Legend also tried to make a case as to why Jade should pick him as a coach. The "All of Me" star explained that he loved how versatile she was and would love to work with her.

Stefani and Shelton also took turns in explaining why they would love Jade to pick them as coaches. The clip, however, ended right before she announced her choice. Stefani returns to season 19 after taking a break last season.

Though the new season returns with social distancing guidelines, it appears the rules do not apply to everyone. Shelton and Stefani have been staying together amid the lockdown; thus, they are allowed to touch and hug.

Speaking about this, Clarkson explained that having the couple being able to touch and hug will allow the audience to have a sense of normalcy. Season 19 of "The Voice" premieres on Oct 19, and from the preview clip, there is no doubt that fans are in for a season of mindblowing talents.
