Like many couples in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, who became engaged last year, also put their wedding plans on hold.

However, an insider close to Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez recently told HollywoodLife that the twosome would drop everything to focus on their nuptials once the current global crisis is over.

"They are so looking forward to getting married," the source explained to the publication, "and once this pandemic is over, Jen is going to go full force on a wedding."

At their upcoming wedding, their children are expected to be deeply involved. Rodriguez has two children, Natasha, 15, and Ella, 12, with his ex Cynthia Scurtis.

Meanwhile, the "Waiting For Tonight" singer shares 12-year-old twins, Emme, 12, and Maximillian, with former partner, acclaimed singer Marc Anthony.

Back in April, a source told HollywoodLife that Rodriguez and Lopez wanted their wedding to be something extraordinary, so when the novel coronavirus pandemic started, the two decided to postpone their wedding plans.

Rodriguez proposed to Lopez in March 2019 on a Bahamas beach, according to Vogue. The couple has been inseparable since they started dating in March 2017.

In June 2019, the multi-awarded artist revealed in a YouTube video that she would like to get married in a church this time, adding that she has never been married in a church.

Lopez was married to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. Prior to Anthony, she had two previous marriages. She tied the knot with Ojani Noa in 1997, but they also divorced a year. Her second husband was Cris Judd, whom she was married to from 2001 to 2003.

Meanwhile, the former New York Yankees baseball player was married to Cynthia Scurtis from 2002 to 2008. He also had relationships with several celebrities, including Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz.

Back in May, a source told E! News that Lopez and Rodriguez planned to host their big day in Italy. The couple still hoped to have the wedding of their dreams when the timing is right, the source added.

Lopez and Rodriguez, who first met at a Yankee game in 2005, are hunkering down in their home with their children while waiting for their wedding day to come.

On June 23, Rodriguez broke the internet when he shared a video on Instagram that shows him dancing around. His daughters, Natasha and Ella, can also be seen in the video singing, dancing, and playing instruments with Lopez and her daughter, Emme.

The adorable clip, which garnered more than one million views, was filmed in his backyard. Adoring fans immediately took to the comments section of the post to express their love for the blended family.
