Tracee Ellis Ross Walks the Runway with Legendary Mom Diana in a Sweet Throwback Video
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross threw it back in style with a sweet old video of her and her legendary singer mother, Diana Ross walking the Mugler show's runway.
Tracee Ellis Ross and her mother, Diana Ross, are the ultimate definitions of a power mother-daughter duo. Both of them are impacting their respective industries, which has been the case from way back.
Over the weekend, the "Black-ish" star took fans on a trip down memory lane with a throwback video as she reflected on her modeling career. At 18, the actress made her modeling debut at the Mugler spring/summer 19991 show.

At the fashion show, she got the golden opportunity to walk the runway with her legendary mother and she shared a video of the iconic moment alongside photos of her as a professional model.
Tracee has since evolved from a model to an award-winning actress, but her career success stems from her mother's achievements in the music industry.
In the clip, the mother-daughter duo held hands and strutted down the runway in leather ensembles to the singer's hit song, "I'm Coming Out." A young Tracee was all smiles with her high pony and low cut peplum top as she walked with her mother.
As they reached the edge of the runway, Diana allowed her daughter to shine, leaving her to finish the strut. When she turned back, they shared a sweet kiss before walking away from the runaway.
It was such a memorable event for Tracee as she explained in the caption that her mother received a call to participate in Mugler's "Butterfly" show, and Diana know how important it would be to her daughter, who was an aspiring model. The "Girlfriends" star added:
"I desperately wanted to be a model. Plus, I was only a couple of weeks shy of my 18th birthday. So, my mama agreed to walk in the show as long as they allowed her daughter to model."
However, that wasn't all that Diana did for her girl to help her career. Tracee explained that after they flew from New York, she was having issues walking in the high-heeled shoes and was coached by THE Willi Ninja, legendary mother of the House of Ninja.
Alongside the video, Tracee shared different photos backstage in a white and red ensemble with a latex headgear and a clip compilation of all her powerful struts.

Now 76, Diana rose to fame as the lead singer of the singing trio, The Supremes, who dominated the music scene in the 1960s.
After leaving the group in 1969, Diana flourished as a solo artist with several No.1 hits. The legendary singer also has impressive movie credits with appearances in "Double Platinum," "Lady Sings The Blues," "The Wiz," and "Out of Darkness."
