70-year-old actor Jeff Bridges made a return to his social media recently, following nearly ten days of silence after he announced his cancer diagnosis on both his Twitter and Instagram profiles on October 19, 2020.

Having taken a moment for himself, away from the spotlight as he undergoes treatment for the illness, Bridges appeared in good spirits on an October 29 post he shared on his social media.

In the post, Bridges posed with medical equipment and a vial attached to his neck. The actor wore an oversized squared-patterned shirt partially unbuttoned, exposing his chest, and he wore black-framed glasses. He captioned the post:

“I want to thank you all for reaching out during this time, it feels good getting all the well wishes and love!”

Bridges also promised in the multi-platform post caption that he was going to continue sharing updates about his battle with cancer on his personal website, where he has been sharing his deep thoughts about subjects like mortality and impermanence.

“I’m realizing if I have [stuff] to share, now’s the time,” Bridges wrote on his latest blog entry, so we can expect more writing from the prolific and always creative Academy Award-winning actor.

Bridges seem to be genuinely touched by all the positivity he has been receiving from his massive fan-following around the world, and now, more than ever, he wants to engage with them and team up with them for the benefit of the world.

With the help of his devoted fans, Bridges is not only gathering strength to continue battling the illness, but to also bring attention to some of the most urgent issues like the importance of voting and to advocate for the environment.

A DIFFICULT ANNOUNCEMENT

In Bridges’ previous post, the veteran Hollywood star delivered the difficult news of his Lymphoma diagnosis, also revealing on the written statement that he was already undergoing treatment and that his prognosis was good.

Bridges also expressed his gratitude for his family and friends, who have support him on his health journey since before he made his diagnosis public, and he promised to keep his fans updated on his recovery.

After also thanking people for keeping him in their prayers and to wish him well, Bridges used the chance to remind his temporarily captive audience to make sure they voted in the upcoming presidential elections.

Lymphoma is a form of cancer that develops in the lymphocytes (white blood cells), which are an important part of our immune systems, and are located in the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, bone marrow, and other organs of the human body.
