MEET SUSAN GESTON
Geston was born in 1953 in Fargo, North Dakota. While she isn't as famous as her husband, Geston is a success with a flourishing career as a producer in Hollywood. Her credits include "Cold Feet," "Stay Hungry," "Forbidden Zone," and "Extra with Billy Bush."
While Bridges loved Geston, he was afraid of marriages, and after some years of dating, he didn't pop the question.
She and Bridges tied the knot in 1977, but they didn't start a family until 1981 when their eldest daughter Isabella was born. The second child Jessica soon followed two years later, and in 1985, the youngest, Haley, was welcomed. She is a doting mother and devoted wife.
BRIDGES AND GESTON'S LOVE STORY
The lovebirds met in 1975 in Paradise Valley, Montana, at a restaurant while he was filming the movie "Rancho Deluxe." She was waiting table, and it was love at first sight for the actor.
knew Geston was the one for him and asked her out for dinner that day, but she declined. However, they reunited some days later and, after a night of dancing, began dating. She followed him to California as he pursued his career.
While Bridges loved Geston, he was afraid of marriages, and after some years of dating, he didn't pop the question. Geston wasn't pleased with the hesitation and threatened to return to Montana, and that was when he popped the question because he couldn't bear the thought of losing her. He recounted the event during an appearance on Oprah Winfrey, saying:
"I had this vision of an old guy thinking there was this girl from Montana, [being like,] 'Man, why didn't I marry her?"

The "Hell of High Water" actor proposed to Geston, and the lovebirds tied the knot days after in an intimate ceremony that includes just their friends and family.
SECRET TO THEIR MARRIAGE
Even after more than four decades, The "Hell or High Water" actor and his woman have remained in love and connected, defying the odds of marriage in an industry where divorces are the order of the day.
However, Bridges and Geston haven't come this far without secrets that have made them even stronger. Speaking about it to People Magazine, Bridges said:
“We are quite different as people, and we celebrate that rather than making it drive us apart. I respect her wisdom, and I'm sure the girls do too. I've really been blessed."
BRIDGES' LYMPHOMA DIAGNOSIS
On October 20, "The Big Lebowski" star announced that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. He took to Twitter to share the news, referencing his character in the 1998 comedy film. He explained that his prognosis was as good and revealed that he was lucky to have a great team of doctors.
Bridges revealed that he is being treated for the disease and expressed his gratitude to his family and friends for being his support system. He assured fans that he would keep them updated with his recovery.
