'Flip or Flop' Star Christina Anstead Files for Divorce from Ant after 2 Years of Marriage
About two months after announcing her split from husband Ant Anstead, Christina Anstead has officially filed for divorce. The duo was together for two years before they called it quits.
Christina Anstead has officially said goodbye to her marriage with Ant Anstead. According to reports by People Magazine, the “Flip Or Flop” star has filed for divorce from Ant after two years of marriage.
The news was confirmed by her close friend and publicist Cassie Zebisch. Christina first announced that she and Ant were calling it quits on September 18 via a statement on her Instagram page.

Alongside a heartwarming silhouette photo of them holding hands and walking down the beach into the sunset, the 37-year-old wrote, “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other, and as always, our children will remain our priority. “
Their split came as a shock to many as the pair who only got married in December 2018 recently welcomed their first child, a son named Hudson, together in September 2019.
According to sources, the former lovebirds were struggling to work things out since baby Hudson was born. The insider noted that Christina felt lonely and was overwhelmed with juggling work and taking care of their kids.
Ant and Christina first made headlines about their relationship in October 2017, shortly after divorcing El Moussa.
Aside from Hudson, Christina had two kids, Taylor Reese and Brayden James, from her previous marriage to Tarek El Moussa. Ant has Amelie and Archie from his marriage to Louise Herbert.
Last month, the “Christina on The Coast” star gave a hint at her marriage woes in a cryptic post she has since deleted. The HGTV star wrote that she was in a situation where she had to decide between peace and nonsense, and she is choosing the anomaly.
Christina revealed that she had gone from being worried about what people say to not caring anymore, and now she is done with the game. Nevertheless, the reality star has maintained a positive mindset through it all and has tried to live her best life.
She made headlines when she purchased a huge yacht, which she named “Aftermath.” She shared a photo of her standing on the deck with two bottles of champagne as she tagged luxury boat manufacturer Prestige Yachts as the source of her 52-foot vessel.
The cryptic name of the boat allegedly points to her split from Ant. Amid the breakup, Christina and her first ex-husband El Moussa have been focused on co-parenting their two kids. A source confirmed this to Hollywood life, saying:
“Tarek and Christina co-parent really great. They’ve found a groove, despite everything going on with Christina’s separation.”
Ant and Christina first made headlines about their relationship in October 2017, shortly after divorcing El Moussa. By January 2018, she confirmed the news with an Instagram post.
Six months later revealed that El Moussa had given the green light to their relationship. They never announced their engagement but tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on December 22, 2018.
