DWTS Pro Gleb Savchenko and His Wife Elena Samodanova Announce Split after 14 Years of Marriage

After 14 years of marriage, "Dancing with the Stars" pro-dancer Gleb Savchenko and his wife Elena Samodanova announced their decision to go their separate ways. They share two wonderful daughters.

A week after his elimination from season 29 of "Dancing with the Stars," professional dancer Gleb Savchenko and his wife Elena Samodanova have announced their decision to call it quits after 14 years of marriage.

Shevchenko took to Instagram to share the devastating news with a photo of his lovely family. The former couple was with their daughters, Olivia and Zlata, on the beach as they smiled at the camera. In the accompanying caption, the 37-year-old explained that it was with regret that he and Samodanova chose to part ways.

He noted that they intend to continue co-parenting their girls before asking for privacy from fans during this trying time. Samodanova then shared a cryptic post of a heartbreaking quote that read:

"I don't hate you. I'm just disappointed you turned into everything you said you'd never been."

Before the vague Instagram post, Samodanova, a Russian dancer, took to her Instagram story to reveal that their road was coming to an end. In July 2018, the former couple made headlines when they opened a dance studio, Pro Dance LA, in West Hollywood, California.

In the two months spent on the show, the reality star[Chrishell Stause] and Savchenko formed a pretty tight bond.

The studio was a lifelong dream for the duo and was opened on their 12th wedding anniversary. During the ceremony, they dished about the secret to their marriage, with Savchenko, saying:

"I have the best wife because she's very supportive. She supports what I do. We do the same thing. It's kind of having the same goals."

Samodanova also often helped Savchenko with his steamy routines on "DWTS," and the mother-of-two revealed that she was comfortable with the sensual choreography her husband does.

Fans may recall that on November 2, Savchenko and his partner, "Sunset Selling" star Chrishell Stause were eliminated from the dancing competition after eight weeks.

The duo was in the bottom half with Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten, but all three judges voted to save the Disney star, ending Stause and Savchenko's journey.

In the two months spent on the show, the reality star and Savchenko formed a pretty tight bond, with the actress gushing over how patient and lovely he was with her during their training. She disclosed that he found the right way to push her to do better without intimidating her.

Their close relationship was apparent when on October 7, the 39-year-old shared a lovely photo of a large bouquet of roses in hand. In the caption, she explained that the flowers were a gift from Savchenko as an apology after their first fight.

2020 has seen a long list of celebrity couples who have split amid the COVID-19 quarantine. The list includes Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich, Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock.
