Watch Chrissy Teigen's Daughter Luna Honoring Unborn Brother Jack after Receiving His Ashes
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend should have become parents three times over this year. Sadly, things didn’t turn out as they planned, and the couple’s third child died at childbirth. Recently, they shared a sweet gesture to mourn him.
Yesterday, model and television personality Chrissy Teigen shared videos on Instagram confirming that the family had received the ashes of their deceased last born, Jack.
The first video showed Jack’s aches, which came in a lovely white packaging along with a yellow teddy bear. As Teigen narrated, the ashes had come with some Thai string, and the teddy bear was the idea of their first child, Luna.

Teigen explained that Luna had placed the teddy bear with Jack’s aches as a form of “therapy.” At the same time, the little girl also put a piece of her favorite snack on the baby’s ashes.
Luna definitely does appear to love Jack, even though they will never see him grow into a young man. Speaking more on the incident, Teigen said:
“I know this is a weird post but I just wanted to share these to always remember my incredibly empathetic little mini[...]"
Teigen’s second video showed a close-up of Luna entertaining both Jack’s ashes and the teddy bear. The four-year-old girl dressed in her pajamas as she introduced herself to the figures sitting on a couch. The entire spectacle might look weird, as Teigen said. However, it also shows how much the family had loved Jack, despite him not being born.
Teigen explained that the baby had lost a lot of fluids when he was born.
Jack’s death has been a significant turning point for Teigen and her husband, John Legend. The pair announced the pregnancy earlier this year, and they were very excited about his birth.
In October, however, the couple announced that they had lost the baby. In a lengthy, heartfelt letter, Teigen explained that she had been hospitalized due to excessive bleeding.
Teigen has been diagnosed with partial placenta abruption before her pregnancy loss. She even gave birth to the couple’s first two kids – Luna and her younger brother Miles – through IVF.
As for Jack, Teigen explained that the baby had lost a lot of fluids when he was born. Despite their best efforts, they could not get him enough of them to save him. It was truly an emotional moment for the couple, who had been anticipating becoming parents for the third time.
It is also unclear whether they will be trying for a third baby once more. Partial placental abruption currently does not have a cure, and it is pretty severe. For now, the family appears focused on healing and becoming whole again. Getting Jack’s ashes is a great way to start the recovery journey.
