People: Carrie Underwood Opens up about Christmas Traditions in Her Family
In a new exclusive interview, American country singer Carrie Underwood opened up about her music, life in quarantine, and Christmas holiday traditions in her family.
For the iconic singer Carrie Underwood's fans who are already anticipating the Christmas season, it is safe to say that the wait just got better. The country star, in a recent interview, announced the release of her new holiday track.
The 37-year-old explained that the song titled "Favorite Time of Year" is a happy, joyful Christmas song that captures the fun aspects of the holiday and makes people smile when they hear it.

The song is available for streaming and is set to be an extra track on her holiday album titled "My Gift." The singer buttressed that she started working on the album last fall and recorded it last spring.
She added that she hoped the album would be a soundtrack for people as they prepare for and celebrate the holiday. She then opened up about her favorite Christmas traditions with her husband, retired NFL player Mike Fisher, and two sons.
Underwood revealed that they loved decorating the house, and she and Fisher always got the kids their tree so they could decorate any way they liked. She also quipped that it was all about music and food.
The country superstar shared her concern about not spending Christmas with the rest of her family due to the pandemic. However, she reassured that she and her husband would make the holiday a special time for her boys.
She asked the excited little boy to feature on the track.
Underwood also spoke about the importance of her family going to church during Christmas. She explained that the inspirational aspect was a vital part of the holidays.
In the past, Underwood and Fisher have been very candid about their faith and Christianity in their family. The singer buttressed that they always prayed before meals and firmly held on to the other aspects of their faith.
She also opened up about the customary quiet time she had with her husband and sons in the mornings. That star explained that she felt very connected during the tender moments because they were all just waking up and yet to face the chaos of the day.
Underwood has also shown the world just how much she loves her children. In September, she revealed that her 5-year-old son Isaiah was featured on her holiday Christmas album.
She disclosed that he added vocals on the track titled "Little Drummer Boy." The star explained that she originally recorded the song without her boy, but she kept thinking of him whenever she heard the popular Christmas tune.
Underwood added that Isaiah has a passion for music, and she asked the excited little boy to feature on the track. She later admitted that it had been a very proud moment. Truthfully, with such a talented mother, it is no surprise that the apple did not fall too far from the tree.
