Cookie Johnson Relaxes at Home with Her Yorkshire Terrier by Her Side in a Sweet Photo

Cookie Johnson posted a photo of a relaxing scene on Instagram in what seemed like a hangout session with her dog on a couch. Cookie also shared a cute video in her post.

In her snapshot, she was captured smiling at the camera in a red top while covering herself up with an olive-green blanket. Beside her was her Yorkshire Terrier sitting on the beige couch with blue cushions.

In the next slide of her post was a video of her standing up barefoot with blue jeans and talking about her Eularee blanket. “Eularee coat wraps, it’s even bigger and cozy this year,” she said in the video.

LOVE FOR DOGS

61-year-old Cookie and her husband, former NBA legend Earvin (Magic) Johnson, are dog lovers at heart. According to Daily News, the couple adopted a Shih Tzu puppy back in 2016 at an auction.

The pair bid a whopping $10,000 for their 15-week old pup. Cookie and Magic went all out in bidding for their puppy in Rhode Island, New England.

A week before the said auction, the married couple had euthanized their ailing aged dog. “We had to put our dog down last week and want another dog,” Magic reportedly said. It seems like the pair could not wait too long to have another dog running around the house.

The Daily News insider told the publication that Cookie was to name their new addition to the family at the time. We can only guess the cute names she came up with to name their puppy.

MAGIC’S BIRTHDAY VACAY

According to Essence, in 2019, Cookie threw her husband a 60th birthday celebration that was off the charts. The mother of two planned a luxurious yacht outing for Magic and invited close friends and family onboard.

LL Cool J and his wife Simone Smith joined the Johnsons’ family trip on a 281-foot yacht that reportedly cost a whopping $1 million per week. Phew! Talk about big money spenders. It certainly was worth celebrating the basketball legend.

THE CELEBRATION OF THEIR LOVE STORY

In September, the power couple celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary after knowing one another for 42 years. They are real-couple goals, and their love for each other has created a lifetime bond.

Essence reported that Magic took to Instagram to post a heart-melting message to his beautiful wife:

“Happy anniversary to the love of my life and my gift from God, Cookie Johnson! ...I am forever grateful that you’ve loved me, supported me and helped me up when I needed it. I love you more each day!”

In response to his post, Cookie also returned the love to her longtime partner and shared that she loves being married to him. Cookie shared how much she appreciates Magic’s efforts in surprising her with exhilarating adventures and that she enjoys not knowing what he’s planned for them.

“May God continue to bless and have favor on our union. I love you always,” she wrote. The lovebirds tied the knot in 1991, and they share two children, Earvin Jr. (EJ) and Elisa. Magic also has a son from his previous relationship named Andre.
