Recently, Peete was cast for a lead role in the Hallmark holiday movie, "The Christmas Doctor," which premiered on November 15. Peete's role in the film earned her some complimentary remarks.

The mother of four played the role of Dr. Zoey Garner, a traveling doctor who assists absent doctors in different communities and towns. She enjoys a short project to ensure she does not develop emotional ties with the environment.

Things take a new turn in a new assignment she was given to cover for the sole physician in the small town of Willow Brook while he undergoes surgery.

While at Willow Brook, Zoey finds out that she has fallen for the charm of Luke (Adrian Holmes) and the town in general. As the holiday season comes to an end, she feels unwilling to leave for the first time.

She is proud to contribute her quota in this period.

"The Christmas Doctor" was reportedly filmed in Vancouver, Canada, where COVID-19 health measures are strictly adhered to even during filming.

In an interview, Peete disclosed that during a kissing scene, they have to get a special rinse in their mouth first and have their faces sprayed with alcohol.

The actress is thrilled about her role in the film and recently shared a post on her Instagram ahead of its premiere, alongside another snap of her in a gorgeous outfit.

Peete, who also recently joined the season five cast of ABC's "American Housewife," said that "The Christmas Doctor" has a special place in her heart.

According to reports, the actress is the brainchild behind the thrilling Christmas movie and she is proud to contribute her quota in this period.

Off the screen, the "For Your Love" actress enjoys a sweet family life with her husband, Rodney, a former National Football League quarterback, and their four children.

The actress has also faced some difficulties in her private life. Her dad, Matt Robinson, now deceased, reportedly had Parkinson's disease for two decades.

Peete also recently made the headlines when her daughter, Ryan, came out as gay. The youngster revealed that she had struggled with accepting the way she is but thankfully, she has a family that adores her, regardless of her sexuality.
