Kimora Lee Simmons Posts Tribute in Honor of 2nd Anniversary of Close Friend Kim Porter's Death

Kimora Lee Simmons has paid tribute to her late close friend Kim Porter with an emotional post two years after the latter died from lobar pneumonia.

On November 15, 2018, model Kim Porter was found dead in her home. After her death, a medical examiner revealed she died from lobar pneumonia. Porter died at 47.

Porter's death came as a shock to her loved ones, and two years after her death, they still miss her presence. Her close friend Kimora Lee Simmons is one of those people.

Reminiscing on her late friend's memory in an Instagram post, Simmons shared a picture of Porter smiling and captioned it: "✨✨✨♥️." Simmons also shared one picture on her Instagram Story, showing her and Porter hugging each other and smiling. She captioned it:

"Today and always.. We forever ride @Ladykp."

Simons shared another snapshot of her and Porter that showed the latter in a black mini gown. Simmons wore a yellow mini dress and looked at her friend with loving eyes. She captioned the picture with heart emojis.

Following Porter's death two years ago, Simmons also posted a touching tribute where she detailed her anguish, heartbreak, and love for her close friend.

Diddy and Porter were still very close friends and co-parents, even though their romantic relationship did not work.

In that post, Simmons shared a series of flashback pictures documenting her and Porter's friendship, adding a long caption describing the moment she learned of the latter's passing.

She revealed she initially thought news of Porter's death was a joke and rushed to her house along with her daughter, Aoki, hoping to tell her to get up and come outside. However, she soon realized Porter would not come out, confirming her worst fears.

In her lifetime, Porter dated rapper and music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs and was the mother of four of his children. Diddy was also devastated after his ex-girlfriend's death.

A source told People then that Diddy and Porter were still very close friends and co-parents even though their romantic relationship did not work. The source further said they were still a family.

Like Simmons, Diddy also penned a heartfelt tribute in Porter's memory on the 2nd anniversary of her death. Taking to his Instagram page, the rapper shared a series of pictures showing him and Porter posing with their kids and sharing a kiss. In the caption to the post, Diddy wrote:

"QUEEN KIM PORTER!! @ladykp ... IRREPLACEABLE ... LOVE YOU FOREVER ❤️."

After two years, Porter's memory still lives on in her loved ones' hearts and minds, which shows that even though she is not in the world today, she will never be forgotten. May her soul continue to rest in peace.
