Donny Osmond recently announced on social media that he would perform again in Las Vegas next year. However, this time he will not be with his sister in his shows.
Former teen idol Donny Osmond, who hosted the "Donny & Marie" variety show with his sister, Marie Osmond, shared the great news with his legion of fans via Instagram on November 19.
In the video he uploaded, the 62-year-old can be seen hopping into a car prior to heading down Las Vegas trip. A radio announcer said: "Let's welcome back Donny Osmond."
Osmond's signature song "Puppy Love" is the soundtrack to the clip that already amassed more the 67,700 views on the popular picture and video-sharing social networking service.
The post also included a clip of the singer, who won season 9 of "Dancing With the Stars" in 2009, pointing at the Harrah's Las Vegas entrance as he cruised by and his still photos in various poses.
Osmond captioned the video: "I'm absolutely thrilled to announce my return to Las Vegas in August 2021 with my first-ever solo residency — exclusively at [Harrah's Las Vegas]!"
The singer added that his upcoming shows in Vegas will be new and exciting. He also said that it will be absolutely unforgettable and that he can hardly contain his excitement.
Avid fans immediately raved over the announcement as they noted in the comments section of the montage that something good happened in 2020.
Before they started dating, Debbie first dated Osmond's older brother, Jay.
The "You Are My Sunshine" singer and his sister Marie headlined an 11-year Las Vegas residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas from 2008 to 2019, as reported by Inquisitr.
Meanwhile, Osmond is a doting father to five children, Donald, Jeremy, Brandon, Christopher, and Joshua. According to Closer Weekly, he shares his sons with his wife Debbie, whom he married in May 1978.
The loved-up couple, who first met when Debbie was 15 years old, became grandparents for the first time in 2005. They now have ten grandchildren — nine boys and one girl.
Before they started dating, Debbie first dated Osmond's older brother, Jay. Osmond once shared in a social media post that it took him three years to win her heart and convince her to marry him.
In a 2017 interview, Osmond revealed that his father, George, did not want him to pursue a relationship with Debbie because he believed it would ruin his career at the time.
George was right about his career after he tied the knot with her, but Osmond has no regrets because, for him, Debbie is a beautiful person to be with. The singer believed that his life would be a mess if he had not married her.
