Arnold Schwarzenegger Donates 500 Turkeys to Hollenbeck Center — Fans Thought He Was Vegan
Many know Arnold Schwarzenegger to be many things – a hunk, a former Governor, and an iconic actor. However, it appears that they have wrongly assumed that he was a vegetarian.
Earlier this week, actor and former politician Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a video on his Instagram page where he sat in front of a turkey.
The video was a Thanksgiving message. It featured the “Terminator” actor explaining that he and his family had just prepared their turkey and were getting ready to enjoy it during the Thanksgiving holiday.

However, Schwarzenegger highlighted that many people have unfortunately not been able to enjoy so much good fortune. To lend a hand, he donated 500 turkeys to the Hollenbeck Center in East Los Angeles.
While many appreciated the gesture, some fans also noted that they did not know Schwarzenegger was not a vegetarian. One commenter asked:
“So, you’re not vegetarian?”

Many more fans expressed their shock at the fact that Schwarzenegger eats meat. Considering how fit he looks, one could think he has sworn off meat. However, the actor was quick to clear things up. Replying to a user, the actor explained that he eats 80 percent less meat.
In 2015, the actor advocated for people to eat less meat to save the environment.

As Schwarzenegger cleared the air in his comment, he enjoys a steak from time to time. The actor added that he also takes a schnitzel when he is in Austria – as well as a turkey during Thanksgiving.
Many have had issues with the “vegetarian” tag for some time. It appears that Schwarzenegger is one such person. As he cleared out:
“I still feel great eating less meat, but I don’t call myself a vegan. And I know the people at Hollenbeck Center want turkeys, so that’s what I donate.”

Schwarzenegger’s stance on meat has been pretty straightforward. In 2015, the actor advocated for people to eat less meat to save the environment.
The stance sparked a significant amount of backlash online, but it still communicated a substantial concern for people and the environment. Since then, Schwarzenegger has continued his advocacy for less meat dependency.
Last year, the actor told news sources that eating less meat does not make a man less masculine. Now that Schwarzenegger has cleared the air, fans can now move on from the debacle. The actor has made it clear that he eats meat, but just less than he used to while younger.
